Prof. Elena Livia
Elena Livia is ICOTEA Director of Degree sector and professor of English and Spanish language and literature.
After she has achieved the degree in Science of Linguistic Mediation at Catania University, she studied in famous Ca’ Foscari University in Venice, where she get the degree in Translation and editorial and sectorial interpreting.
After the degrees, she consolidated her excellent foreign languages and literature knowledge, English and Spanish.
She worked as interpreter in the famous French company, Club Med. Then she played the role of Export Sales Account in a sicilian company.
She worked as freelance translator, in Malta and in Italy, for company operating in organization of English courses for Italian people, dealing in web contents tradition. He carried out activities of translator in Spain, in Barcelona, for the editor Ediciones B, treating the translation of Spanish writer Antonia J. Corrales bestseller “En un Rincon del alma” (“In a corner of the soul”) from Spanish to Italian.
She dealt with technical and sworn translations and she executed simultaneous interpretations and chucotage, for the famous translation agency Traducciones Castilla, in Valladolid and Salamanca.
Thanks to her organisational, managing and informatic skills, she worked as collaborator in HR Office at Ca’ Foscari University, in Venice, where she took care of degrees and contest area.
She speaks fluently Italian, English and Spanish.
Her motto is : “Tenacity rules the world”.
