ICOTEA, school of Studies in Language Mediation, authorised by MIUR Decree of 23/09/2013 – O.J. No. 242 of 15/10/2013, provides single subjects that are part of our bachelor’s degree.

People who have a high school diploma, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and students enrolled in any degree course at any university may be admitted to single subjects that are part of our bachelor’s degree. At the end they will receive a certificate. You can use this course in case of conditional advancement to the next grade, dependent on retaking failed exams, to enrol in free-access master's degree programmes or postgraduate speciality schools and for professional goals. Single subjects are taken by our bachelor’s degree programme.


Our single subjects are available for:

1) graduates who have to pass exams (that are not part of their syllabus) to be admitted to master’s degree programmes, postgraduate specialty schools or public competitions;

2) students enrolled in our degree programme who want to ‘enlarge’ their syllabus;

3) foreign students enrolled in foreign universities, involved in international mobility programmes, after obtaining the approval of the competent authorities;

4) foreign university students enrolled in foreign universities who want to attend single courses as an individual venture, after obtaining the approval of the competent authorities;

5) people who have a high school diploma, and are not enrolled in other universities or academies, for a cultural update or for increasing professional skills.

You can attend single subjects including a maximum of 60 ECTS credits for each academic year.

If you enrol in our bachelor’s degree course, the credits you acquire can be recognised and certified.

24 ECTS credits for the Competition for teachers

For the school branch, ICOTEA provides 24 ECTS credits through five single subjects.

Each single course issues 6 ECTS credits:

• Pedagogy, Special Pedagogy and Inclusive teaching (M-PED) – 6 ECTS credits – 150 hours;

• Psychology (M-PSI) – 6 ECTS credits – 150 hours;

• Anthropology (M-DEA/01 – M-FIL/03 – L-ART/08) – 6 ECTS credits – 150 hours;

• General educational and digital methodologies (M-PED/03 – M-PED/04) – 6 ECTS credits – 150 hours.

The fifht single subject issues 24 ECTS credits. It lasts 5 months and includes all the four above-mentioned subjects:

• 24 CREDITS: Special Pedagogy and Inclusive teaching (M-PED) + Psychology (M-PSI) + Anthropology (M-DEA/01 – M-FIL/03 – L-ART/08) + General educational and digital methodologies (M-PED/03 – M-PED/04) – 600 hours.

If you attend one of the five single subjects, you’ll receive a certificate issued by eCampus University. eCampus University arranges, certifies the exams and grants you 24 ECTS credits in pedagogical, sociological and anthropological disciplines and in educational technologies and methodologies. These credits are needed to take part in the Competition for teachers.
