ICOTEA has been accredited by the National Council of Food Technologists to offer training courses for Food Technologists.
Those enroled professionals are obligated to follow updating training programmes, as it is established in the Decree of 07th August 2012 nr. 137. The National Council of Food Technologists adopted the Regulation concerning the ongoing training for enroled food professionals.
The Food Technologist has to obtein at least nr. 35 professional training credits in three years and at least nr. 10 credits per year (1 credit stands for 1 hour of training).
The professional training credits (PTC) released from ICOTEA will be recognised by the National Council of Food Technologists.
Those enroled professionals who don’t respect the compulsory training can be subject to sanctions; so the enroled professional who continued with his activity without any updating training course, can be refered by the National Council of Food Technologists, as it is established by the art. 8 of the Decree 07/08/2012.
